ABOUT

Way Out West is a new band in the Bay Area. We cover an eclectic group of songs from, honky-tonk, country, rock-a-billy, to country swing and rock. We are not strictly traditionalists, and will lean toward a set with a wide variety of songs – see the list below. We are currently drums and bass and need a strong lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player

We're looking to enlist some good natured, competent players who dig this kind of music. The idea would be to take this to live playing at clubs, parties, and functions. Most of the tunes are pretty up beat, danceable type "good-time" music. We have a studio in the south bay area. We'd like to eventually add horns, pedal steel, and accordion to the mix.

Attitude and ego are definitely not required...we would rather not have to deal with tension and drama when this is supposed to be fun at day's end...if you would like to explore this further or know someone who might be interested, let us know!
