About

Experienced rhythm and lead guitarist. I have been lucky to have played many venues on Oahu and Big Island over the past 20 years. Most recently I played in a classic rock band for about 6 years, then took a break at the end of 2011. Looking for a new band situation, preferably an established group. I'm mellow but prefer to play with folks who are experienced, do their homework and come to practice/gigs ready to play. I don't read music but am from a musical family and have a pretty good ear. I can sing back up vocals in key within my range. I have a great day job so am not worried about making a living at music, but love to play fun gigs.

Influences

I have a wide variety of influences, lately my influences in terms of guitar tone are Joe Bonamassa, Warren Haynes, and John Petrucci. Long term influences include Rush, Triumph, ZZ Top, Scorpions, Dio, Ozzy, Journey, Megadeth, Motely Crue, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest,etc, and on the blues side Clapton, Almann Brothers, SRV, Robert Cray,etc, and I like southern rock as well as a variety of the newer bands out. I have played a wide variety of music live from metal to hair band stuff to blues to funk/R&B and even a touch of country.
