JOSE MARCOS CREGO TAMAYO, Pianist. Havana, Cuba July 12, 1978. Started his initial music studies in the Conservatory of Music Manuel Saumell, in his native city when he was five years old. Then he attended and graduated from High school at Amadeo Roldán Music School. From childhood he followed in his fathers footsteps, the great trumpet player Jose Miguel Crego ''El Greco,'' playing piano and singing in a few records. That paved the way and gave him the inspiration for him to participate in various musical groups with his classmates. After graduation his career took off and performed with many famous musicians including, but not limited to; "Los Dan,'' " Talismán," "ICRT Orchestra," ''Top Secret'' along side his father, Klimax, Gardi and his band, The Arango Brothers, Afrocuban All Stars, playing in a lot of jazz festivals like Pop Kom, Curaçao Heineken Jazz Festival, Jazz Plaza,Festival Benny More, Fiesta del Tambor, Blue Festival, Jazz Fandango Festival, Pori Jazz Festival. At 21 he produced his first album named "Mi Musica," this being start of his career as a musical producer. He also collaborated as a pianist and keyboard player in various albums like; "Top Secret" volm.1, Klimax "Oye como va," Piloto & Friends, Nadie se parece a ti, "Autorretrato" Francisco Céspedes, "Alafia" Hermanos Arango, "Homenaje a los grandes del son" Hector Valentin, and many more.
