OK, Here is the real story. Gave up on the band thing, too much hassle not enough pay. My beautiful wife Dawn & I perform acoustic shows where ever & when ever and also spend time writing songs wishing an artist will pick one up. We have a cover show & an original show case. Come see us one day.

Experience; I have created several bands and have been involved in a number of successful projects throughout my years in the music industry. My music career started in my home town of Bay City Texas. My creativity in stage work, song writing and song selection landed me in Las Vegas performing special events with radio stations, UNLV events and a number of venues throughout the Vegas valley. In 1995, My party band “Sour Grapes” was voted Best Local Band by the Las Vegas Review Journal Readers Pole. In March of 2007, I went back to my roots and founded a new high energy Rockin’ Country party band called “The Mark Barrett Project”.
By October of 2007, The Project was the first runner up out of eight talented bands for the Double Down Through Down presented by 95.5 KWNR and Bud Select. By June of 2008, The Mark Barrett Project had become first runner up in the Kenny Chesney Next Big Star Competition presented by 95.5 KWNR and The Next Big Star.
We is now performing in TEXAS.

My wife Dawn and I bring to stage a full two hours of Barrett’s original showcase country songs or a three set modern country cover show. We are also in the process of working with charity organizations. Dawn and I would like to thank you for your time and we all look forward to playing on a stage near you.
