I've been a working percussionist for over 20 years, with significant time spent in studios as well as live venues.

I'm now playing w/Montana Rose, an alt-country/Americana group that plays primarily around south-central Montana. We stay fairly busy, although the winter months are a little slower than spring-fall.

Having played with so many musicians and bands during that time, I'm comfortable playing almost any genre.

I think of my role, in most situations, as someone who compliments the music and helps drive the dynamics.

Influences:

The list of drummers and percussionists is too long to list. My inspiriation isn't limited to ethnic percussion - I find inspiring musicians in all types of music that go far beyond technique.

Equipment List:

Meinl and Latin Percussion congas and stands (4), LP Valje bongos, dumbek, snare, cymbal, various shakers, bells, and the like. For live performances I have (2) Audio Technica ATM HE 23's (clip-on) mikes.
