I've been singing all my life (my mom preformed in a cover band with her best friend on occasion and she had me singing at an early age, recording Christmas tapes of my sister and I harmonizing) but the recording and gig scene is fairly new to me. I'm a photographer and take pictures of a few local bands as a hobby but I do know many of the local musicians in the area. I've always loved to sing and a good friend of mine performs with a local band and he has inspired me to just push my boundaries and pursue my love and passion for singing.
I'd love to give this a real shot and perhaps start on backup vocals and work my way up from there to see what I'm capable of.
I have an Audiobox USB with a recording mic and headphones along with Presonus Studio One 2 Artist and Producer software. I've had it a couple years and have never used it so I'd love to have a reason to start.

Influences
Bob Marley, Pearl Jam is my all time favorite band!!!, Jimmy Buffett, Janis Joplin, most 90's bands including Seattle grunge, some female country singers such as Shania Twain and Faith Hill, I occasionally enjoy some new music but I'm a classic rock/ 90's chic, love singer/songwriters like Jason Mraz when it comes to the newer stuff and find myself singing Colbie Callait, Michele Featherstone, Fiona Apple and Norah Jones to name a few, my friend introduced me to The Civil Wars and my ultimate vocal goal would be to someday sing like Joy Williams.
