LOOKING FOR CREATIVE METAL/HARD ROCKERS WITH AMBITION!!
Currently based in Austin, Texas, a Lead Guitarist originally from Chicago with over 25 year’s experience. I am presently looking for BASS, DRUMS and VOCALS to create an ORIGINAL METAL ACT. Most of the songs I write are in alternate tunings; a full step dropped/dropped "C", dropped "B", dropped "B"/dropped "A".
Friends say my style is like ZAKK WYLDE/JOE SATRIANI/HENDRIX. My songs project a very different kind of Dark Melodic Driven Metal mojo (best description). Some songs are wicked, some melodic, others more epic sounding (movie soundtrack kind of stuff), definitely not the typical boring "15 tempo changes per song" metal! I write songs that have structure and with a goal of mass appeal… I mean this is all about expressing our souls and making a living at it… right?
I'm looking for serious people who want to aggressively pursue their dream and be a part of a fun, team collaborative, NO drama atmosphere. I'm NOT necessarily interested in doing any covers, with the ONLY possible exception being a badass re-mix of something obscure or forgotten into a heavier format for use as a marketing promo, or possibly songs from other unknown indie artists on MySpace, etc. to support public awareness of each other. I can tap into creativity at will and I’ve too many ideas in my head to waste time on re-hashing corporate label songs. I think it would be a good idea to polish the act in Austin locally and then hit the tour circuit with a pro attitude; read -“failure is not an option”-. We can eventually tour internationally, this is not impossible; it only requires a dream, a team and people willing to step outside of their comfort zone!
Requirements:
*Race is irrelevant - gender is irrelevant.
*Please be over 25 or at least leave the counterproductive, immature attitude and conduct behind you, there’s no place for the baggage of drama here!
*Have reliable, pro equipment.
*Vocalists… you aren’t special or any different from the other band members; you can contribute by at least owning a mic!
*Be committed to music, stage and success; this is your dream too, act the part! I know you guys are out there looking too, let’s crank it up and get it done! Cheers!
