Hey there, my musical influences come from:
-1910's to 30's Ragtime, Jazz, and especially Blues (Piedmont's my favorite, but it's really all incredible)
-1940's and on Western Swing, Honky Tonk, Bluegrass, and Folk
-1950's Rock 'n' Roll
-1960's and 70's Rock and Hard Rock (you know, the good stuff)
And everything that's been influenced by it since. It's just short of impossible to describe my entire music dictionary in a short description, but what I can tell you is this:
I've practiced everyday (by choice, mind you), at least four hours a day, since the very day I started (promise). Any other free time is spent just playing, studying, or building/repairing guitars (Yeah, I don't go out on weekends). I majored in Classical Guitar and lead our top classical ensemble at the Orange County High School of the Arts, and will be attending the Berklee College of Music possibly as soon as the Summer of 2010. Until then, I will be studying Jazz under the "Applied Music Program" at Fullerton College to keep up my studies, and soak in as much more as I can. I'm very advanced in music theory, I've performed in front of very large and very small audiences a billion or two times, I've played tons of gigs, and done countless hours of studio work and composing - all of which I would sincerely love to tell you more about! There's just too much junk to say, and I can only type so many more words, so please, if you're interested or have any questions at all, please PLEASE don't hesitate to call! I'm open to most any gig or offer - I just want to make music - GREAT music. Give me a call!
I'm a full-time, extremely committed, passionate, and experienced musician, and I'm ready to take on anything.
Music has lost more and more of it's dignity this past decade or so, and I'd like to think there are people out there brave enough to take advantage of this mess and bring back the inspiration that made music worth it's while in the first place.
I think we can pull it off if we try. After all, I DO own a wah pedal. What more do we need?
Give me a call!
