In the fourth grade I decided to learn how percussion. I took private lessons for 10 years and played in various orchestras and ensembles (playing instrments such as marimba, steel drums, kettle drums, concert snare, etc.). For the past four years or so, I have been working on my skills on a drum set.
About three years ago, I decided to try and take up a new instrument. I taught myself how to play the bass guitar and have been playing it just for fun since then. I also have enjoyed singing ever scince I was small. I am not a trained vocalist, however i have been in many chiors and even performed solo.

Influences
My friends always tell me that I sound like David Draiman from the band Disturbed, but I really don't see it. He has been a great influence on me though. I love the way he sings and his lyrics are amazing. Being an orchestral drummer, I have always found bands like Mushroomhead and Slipknot to be very interesting. They don't just incorporate drum kits into their compositions. They use various other percussive instruments (water drums, kettle drums, etc.). As far as influences on my bass playing, I would have to say that the one musician that has influenced me the most would have to be Paul Gray (R.I.P.) from Slipknot. I love the way his studio recordings sound.
