To give you a brief run down on Matt Bailie, he was born on June 29, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida. Matt new at an early age what it was he wanted to do, singing in the Colgate Country Show Down at fifteen years old and winning many events. Matt was the youngest finalist to make it to the state finals out of Jacksonville. "The boy makes me think of Garth Brooks when he performs" said one of the judges at the Show Down. Matt, at the age of eighteen, started touring with a band out of Jacksonville, and has played for thousands of people and crowds in many states around the country and has opened shows for many major artists, singing anywhere he could. Matt loves to be on stage. He and the audience seem to feed off each other, which leads to a very special show. He just plain loves music! You know that special “something”? Well, he’s got it! Matt now lives in music city, Nashville, Tennessee. Through joining ASCAP, he met Vice President John Briggs, who has taken Matt under his wing, introducing him to some of the biggest names in Nashville and taking him to many of Nashville's biggest social events. Matt has met some of the biggest names in the music industry and has been writing with some of the most talented songwriters in town.On top of all that , Matt also went to SAE a school for (sound audio engineering) and runs and produce's in his own studio that he demos other artists song's along with his own ! Matt has Been featured in Country Weekly Magazine as new up and coming Artist Also, Matt is managed by the legendary brothers Donnie and Johnny Van Zant, who are close family friends and have inspired and guided him for many years. The brothers, of 38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the duo Van Zant, are in the process of getting Matt a record deal ! So keep a lookout for Matt, as he might just be playing a show in your town!
