About
Having recently moved to Charlotte, NC, I am looking to either join an original band or start my own original band. I'm well-versed in many genres, but have a passion for progressive rock and jazz fusion, however, I am open to all genres.
I'm NOT INTERESTED IN JOINING A COVER BAND. Charlotte is full of cover bands, and I'm done playing Brown-eyed Girl and Mustang Sally. I've got over an hour worth of original material, which is plenty for playing shows at original venues. I'm not opposed to tossing a handful of covers to fill out the set for a longer night, but I am NOT interested in playing covers.
My goal is to spend as much time playing music and as little time as possible at a day job. While I'm not deluded into thinking that I could ever be a "rock star" or "make it," I firmly believe that I can make a living in music, live comfortably and do what I love to do.
Influences
Emerson Lake and Palmer, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Yes, Porcupine Tree, The Hold Steady
