PTM band - where PTM stands for Pay The Mortgage. I don't want to "get together and jam and see what if anything happens."
I'm 51 and play all guitars and bass. I play lots of styles but my ambition here is to join a band that's already playing several paying jobs per month or start from scratch. This could be two acoustics, an acoustic and bass, two guitars bass and drums (it worked for the Beatles.) whatever customers will come out to listen and dance to. Classic rock with a twist like James Gang? Moody female singer like Aimee Mann? The Who? The Muffs? Clapton covers Dylan?
I have a practice space in Danbury with drums and modest family room PA set up all the time and I have several guitar amps so if you like, practices could be "plug and play." I designed and installed the sound system in my church so we would have a possible concert venue, might be cool with a scaled back group, kind of like Unplugged.
I have interesting guitars and good amps, would only need to get a bass amp if we go with me on bass. I can coach us toward four part harmony because I've had a lifetime of great voice teachers.
Come on, let's jump on it for the summer picnic gigs.
Classic rock, traditional country
Peavey, Danelectro, Fernandez guitars and basses, Peavey and Fender amps, "family room" size PA and could be monitor system
