I am 34 years old. Currently in a band with some guys from work and we play the yearly holiday party. I want to get in a more progressive band with better musicians for jamming and gigs. I am not super serious and am not planning on doing a world tour, but I will like to hook up with some cool folks. I am not a full time musician, and I have a family and a professional job, but music has always been a serious hobby for me, and I can hold my own. I used to play the drums so this gives me more understanding of how bands work.
I would like to play some covers and do some original music.

Influences
Basic rock, alternative, blues, jazz, almost anything that sounds good. Country is about the only thing I dont listen to, but I wouldn't mind learning a few songs I suppose if a band wanted to do some covers.
I can solo and play rhythem equally well and enjoy both. I do enjoy fast metal, blues, etc.
I grew up on heavy metal, and have branched out to more KROQ type music, blues, etc.
