My first instrument is actually the tuba and vocals, I've been playing those all my life. What I really want, though, is to improve my bass guitar skills. I haven't been able to play in a while because my amp was stolen and I'm poor. Dang you student loans! But I'm trying to get one! I miss playing! I was the bassist in my church band for a good three years before I went off to college. I tried getting in a band there, but they were all full and the bassists stayed the same from their freshman year to graduation. But I love being on stage in front of a crowd of singing people. That feeling is worth all the hard work it would take to be in a band.

Influences
My biggest influence will always be my wonderful parents. They have to put up with me and my strange antics. It was probably the Newsboys that convinced me to learn the bass. And various Japanese bands that influenced me into the styles I like. Though now I don't listen to them anymore. Now I've moved on to classics, RED, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, etc. I've also been delving into the wonderful land of brony music. (Don't laugh. There are some amazing things there!)
