I have a fantastic drummer with the same kind of experience - we're forming a new band to focus on high dollar gigs: corporate events, casinos, weddings and other high-end projects. Although we may start off playing a few bars, it will not be our long-term goal.

We are both in our early 40s and approach music with a very professional attitude - we always come to rehearsals prepared to play. We're looking for like-minded, professional and seasoned musicians who want to gig 1-4 times a month for very serious money. We're looking for lead guitar, rhythm guitar, keys and bass. If you also sing lead or backup that would be a huge plus.

We are looking for musicians who are like us - serious about what they do. I can't tell you how many people have contacted us claiming to be "professional" and "serious" and then show up completely unprepared for the audition. I'm sorry, but we will ask you to leave if you have not even bothered to listen to the 5 songs we asked you to learn. We don't have time to waste. If you're not prepared for an audition it's fair to assume you will not be prepared for rehearsals. Similarly, if you have no intention of actually showing up, or don't want to put in the work to learn a bunch of new songs, please don't tell us you will. It's all good, just be honest.

Rehearsals will take place at the drummer's lesson studio near Guadalupe and Alma School Roads - it's always set up and ready to jam. We will rehearse on Saturdays at 4pm or on Sundays at 12 depending on the drummer's lesson schedule that week. We will rehearse weekly until we have 100 songs and then we can probably move to once a month and eventually to no rehearsals. Our goal is to learn 10 songs a week at first so we can get this thing off the ground as quickly as possible. If that's too much for you, this may not be the project for you.

Now, please don't get me wrong...although we are serious and professional we have a fantastic time doing what we do. We both have a sarcastic, off-beat sense of humor and are constantly making jokes and cracking wise and laughing. We do music because we are passionate about it...but we're all about doing it RIGHT. We want to be the best. There are FAR too many bands out there doing classic rock and doing it poorly. We want this to be an amazing project with the right people. I hope you're one of them!
