I'm a female metal singer and lately I've been thinking of getting on stage just for fun, but I don't know any other musicians with whom to form a band. Would like to talk to people who are interested, see if we have similar ideas or will work well together, talk a bit through e-mail and keep each other mind for future plans, and maybe eventually get together when we have enough people. This process would probably take a long time, but I'm not in a hurry. Well, not much of one. Perfection is worth the wait!

My vocal style:
Clean but heavier and deeper in pitch than most females. I guess you'd call this my trademark. There are a lot of good female-fronted bands out there, but I'm dissatisfied with the high-pitched vocals most of them have. I don't want to be like those bands. I strongly prefer lower keys, and this is the way I want to sing. I like to challenge myself a lot in order to get my voice as deep as possible. I can handle most of the average female vocal range. Just don't expect me to sing soprano.

The band I want:
Basically I just want heavy guitars, bass and drums, and maybe a keyboard (sometimes necessary for covers). I think we'd stick with covers for a little while and then maybe start writing. The most important thing I should mention is that I'm only looking for fun, not a record deal and worldwide fame.

As for the covers and the lyrics ... get ready, this is the unusual part ... I really want to sing in German. As often as possible. It's such a powerful language, and I can sing nearly ANYTHING and no matter what the lyrics mean I will feel very powerful while singing it. I'm not fluent in German yet (I am learning) but I know how to pronounce everything properly, and I understand the meaning of what I sing. So with this coupled with my low-pitched vocal goals, I'd love to do a lot of Rammstein songs on stage. A female-fronted version of Rammstein: isn't that something you'd like to see?!

I would like to begin writing my own German lyrics one day, but if I need to write any songs in the meantime English will do.

My musical education:
None. I don't have any. Sorry, but I don't. I'm not a technical or a very "serious" singer; I am just a passionate one. A headbanger who really gets into the music and loves to improve her voice. I've been working on that a lot lately (improving my voice) and trying to increase my vocal range. I do come from a musical family.

My goals?:
Performing on stage, FOR FUN. I don't mind if you have higher goals as long as you don't try to force them on me.

Influences:

Mostly European metal: German, Finnish, Swedish, etc. I am not a fan of the modern American metal scene (Avenged, BFMV and so on); these bands just don't appeal to me. I do like the classic American metal of years past, but I want a more updated sound.

Here are a few songs I already enjoy singing and would like to cover:

Brainstorm -
Fire Walk With Me
How Do You Feel
Shiva's Tears

Dream Evil -
Crusaders' Anthem
Evilized
Tired

Iced Earth -
I Walk Alone

Megadeth -
Symphony of Destruction

Nightwish -
The Poet and the Pendulum
Planet Hell
Slaying the Dreamer

Rage -
Dies Irae
Gib Dich Nie Auf
Open My Grave

Rammstein -
Du Hast
Feuer Frei!
Reise, Reise
Sonne
Stein um Stein

And other songs from these bands and many more
