ABOUT

I recently moved to Phoenix from Peoria, IL. As far as the number of gigs listed below, I have played about 40 - 50. I can play some accoustic guitar but prefer to be freed up to be the lead vocalist/frontman. I can hold that position down with full soulful vocals. I may need to get back in shape a little but it won't take long. I am seeking to put together a fully functional band, culminating with a horn section and I am a huge fan of the Hammond Organ and/or other soulful keys. I actually gave away a C3 just before moving. I believe in a rhythm section that can "lock it in" but let it rip when the spot light is given. I am deep seeded in Blues and R&B but Classic Rock and/or Country here and there are not out of the question. I am open minded but do understand the practice is done at home and reheasal is for rehearsal. A downfall is that I don't have a reheasal space right now. I'm in an apartment. I look forward to hearing from musicians I can work hard with, have fun with and can learn from eachother. I have been fortunate to have played with professionals whom have coached me along to get at the level I am at, particularly the great guitarist, Chris Stinger Stevens, whom helped develop a better sense of timing.

Influences

The Funk Brothers (the greatest group of musicians to ever grace the popular American music scene), Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray (of course), Walter Trout, Zac Brown, BB King, The Allman Brothers, Dr. Hook, Jonny lang, etc.. Pretty open minded to my bandmates also. I believe in a democracy.
