ABOUT
I started playing bass when I was 20. I played in an Indie-rock group with a couple of guys in college, and in a stoner-doom metal band after that. After taking a bit of a break, I hooked up with some guys 4 years ago and we put together a swamp rock outfit called Huckleberry Boozer. We've played shows all over St.Louis, and we're currently finishing up recording our 2nd ep.
I'm married with 3 young kids, and I have a full time job. I'm past the point of trying to "make it". I want to play because I love making music with other people.

Influences
I enjoy listening to music that runs the gammut: funk, metal, world beat, bluegrass, techno, you name it. So long as it's not awful teeny-bopper pop crap, I like it. My current band plays swampy southern grunge rock (think Alice in Chains covering Lynyrd Skynyrd). Being into as many different types of music as I am, I would love to hook up with some people who wanted to do some funky, jammy, multi-genre fusion. Maybe with an electronic flavor, maybe more rock influenced. Horns would be pretty cool. I really like improvising, and seeing where the music takes you. Anything in the neighborhood of Dopapod, Galactic, Orgone, Umpheys McGee, Funkadelic, etc, etc.
I might also be interested in playing in a cover band. I'm not too cool to play other people's music to a bar full of rowdy drunks. I could get into just about anything other than new country.
