Mike Bloomer is a professional free lance musician and private lessons instructor. He performs solo, duo or with groups including orchestras. His gigs include restaurants like Pisces Rising in Mount Dora, private parties, special events and weddings. Mike teaches private lessons at Music & Arts stores in Central Florida. As a versatile instrumentalist Mike plays the bass, cello, guitar, violin, and viola. The musical styles he plays include classical, rock and jazz. Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in performance in 1989 from the University of Illinois winning several competitions and scholarships. In 2010 Mike produced a professionally recorded CD “No Strings Attached” which showcased his musical versatility and is available for purchase. Now a new CD of original music is being recorded and produced which is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
