I've played guitar in the following well established bands over the years: Prowler, Diamondback, Mach 5 and most recently Driven, 1999-2014. Driven was a mainstay and one of the top drawing bands in North Florida for the past 15 years. We played shows at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and the Jacksonville Landing along with being on steady rotation and North Florida's hottest clubs. After a brief hiatus the drummer from Driven and I are looking to put together another band. We have full PA and lights and I have booking connections ready to go. We already have a bass player in mind along with a possible second guitar player. We are looking for a top notch professional/experienced vocalist/front man willing to jump in and get to work. We are not looking to gig every weekend. Our thought is to play a weekend once a month but no more than twice. All current band members have 25 plus years stage and performing experience. We don't require that from interested vocalists. But, we do require someone that will be committed and willing to be a team player. The musical direction is TBD but we're thinking to keep things in the style of the 80's and early 90's metal and fun rock. But that direction could vary depending on who inquires and their range and style. We're also looking at doing some original music in the future and recording another CD. Being able to write is a plus as is ability to play keyboards as may be needed depending on the song selection. Everyone in the band can sing lead but we would rather go with a dedicated vocalist to front the band. We will be trying to maintain a weekly practice schedule but due to work, family, etc. it could be sporadic at times. Based on everyone's availability to practice weekly it will require everyone to learn their parts on their own time so that when we do all get together for practice songs can be rehearsed. There will be no drugs tolerated in this situation. If you do not have your act together, please don't inquire. If you do, then let me hear from you.
