My brother and I are seeking an expirenced drummer and bass player (at least 21 years old) to help reform our Classic Rock, Outlaw Country, Blues band. Our guys are in their mid to late 60's and keep taking time off. I WANT TO PLAY! We have many contacts for gigs.
Singing ability not required, but a definate bonus as we are big on vocal harmony. You must have your own quality drums or Bass rig.
We are weekend warriors and have day jobs so you must be able to practice or play on most weekends and some weeknights.
I am an expirenced frontman, lead singer, harmony singer, and lead guitarist. I have a very large vocal range from deep bass to tenor, and am classically trained (Highschool - College). Hell, I've even done barber shop. As for guitar I gues I specialize in rock (not metal, but I can), blues, and country.
My brother has a similar skill set, but sings more lead and takes on more of the rythem guitar role.
We take our music very seriously and ourselves not so much. We don't slack at set up or tear down, and expect the same. We love to party but don't get smashed (drunk, sometimes though) during gigs, that's what after partys are for.
--I have a duo with my brother called Probable Cause
--We are in a four piece and called Emmerson Bigguns (the band with the old guys)
Both are classic rock, country and blues. Contact me for booking
Clapton, Blackmore, Jimi, Santana, Slash, Jerry Garcia, Trey Anastasio, Neil Schone, Carl Perkins, Angus Young, Jerry Cantrell, the Kings (BB, Albert, Freddie), Muddy Watters, SRV, Mark Knoplfer, any number of Nashville pickers ... I'm in the process of learning classical guitar.
Lots of botique, professional gear . My main amp is a Bogner Shiva, I also have a Mesa Lonestar Special, and a Savage Mach 6. My main guitars are a Heritage 535, a Gretch jet (Elliot Easton signature), and a hot rodded taco-strat. I also have a taylor accoustic, a pavin classical and a Fender Jazz Bass, plus several more I can't remember. All guitars are left handed.
My brother has A fender Deluxe Tele, a Heritage 155, a Carvin accoustic, a Yamaha 12 string accoustic, a Yamaha bass, a custom built Lancaster Brutis amp, a Peavy classic 200 (can double as a bass amp), and a Bad Cat MiniCat. We have access to new and vintage PA systems. Enough for any size venue - except maybe stadums and the like.
