Desperate to find other musicians that want to take this seriously. I have no job and practically no life so my schedule is pretty free. I've been writing and playing bass with a band that's been playing shows for about a year and has managed a small 2 week tour of the surrounding states. Things have slowed a down a lot and I'm looking for a band/musicians that are able to make music a high priority. I don't really care how long you've been playing or how "good" you are, just that you would be willing to get better and actually give a sh*t. Mostly just looking for people interested in melodic and aggressive music. Looking for people who aren't assholes, but if you must be an asshole, please at least be one in a way I find completely hilarious.
Considering I just realized you can only contact members if you've payed for a premium subscription on this site, feel free to e-mail me at soundblaster37@ (wow, look at that. It won't let me put the rest of my email address. Here's a hint, it's the opposite-of-cold mail.com) or send me a message at http://www.myspace.com/mrassholeface
Mostly lots of punk and some psychobilly. Chris #2 from Anti-Flag is a huge influence on me and Hunter Burgan and Geoff Kresge from AFI as well. Bad Religion, Tool, Pennywise, Strung Out, Tiger Army, At the Drive-In, Social Distortion, Thursday, The Lawerence Arms, Rancid, The Cure, Dead Kennedys, Death From Above 1979, Dick Dale, Husker Du, Alkaline Trio, The Misfits, System of a Down, Saosin, Rufio etc.
I'm pretty much influenced in some way by everything I listen to. I mostly prefer to play a punkier style and I'm not afraid to chord on bass. Not a big fan of drop tuning though.
Pretty sh*tty. I'm ready to buy better gear when the need arises though, not to mention throw down for other stuff (PA, Van, Gas, etc.)
ESP LTD B-204 bass through an old Peavey tnt 115 combo.
Like I said, sh*tty.
