I am simply looking for someone who is a great singer and wants to get out and have some fun covering great tunes and earn some cash!!
My name is Chad. I am seeking to partner with a singer for my acoustic duo act. I have been doing this act for a couple of years and I have played over 100 engagements with it. I prefer to partner with a female vocalist (I will consider males also) who is: A very strong singer with a good range who can successfully approach the material "as it is" without having to object too often that "this is too high", "this is too low". I need someone who can be a confident presence while understanding that most times the act plays 'in the background'. Experience of some kind is obviously a benefit. This must fit into their schedule, I want to rehearse a couple of times a week while getting the material together once a week after that. I want to gig at least once a week, preferably twice. Age really isn?t really a huge deal to me- just as long they are a responsible adult. Appearance does count- be attractive and be able to present themselves professionally. Will be doing all cover material, no originals. Should have a good sense of rhythm and be able to use a tambourine or shaker while singing.
I am pretty easy to get along with. For the most part I am the strong, silent type, though I am a good communicator. I do have a lot of fun doing this but I have to take the music pretty serious and I do so without 'seriousing' the process to death; I am not looking to slop together 20 minutes worth of songs to go do open mics- I need 4 hours (about 50 songs) of well-rehearsed material that I can sell to upscale clients. I am flexible but I have a clear vision of what I want to do and what works-(this includes keeping about 20 of the songs I have been doing.)
