I have relocated to Virginia Beach. ...my past experience mostly involved variety bands: a little Rock a little Blues or Country... a couple current songs on the radio even if we did our own version. I've performed in bars, Moose lodges, family festivals, band contests, as well as local benefits.
I have sang the national anthem at local events... and performed with the Sweet Adelines Barbershop choir.
I would love to find a group to write originals. ..however ....I have never felt the need to reinvent the wheel in order to perform.

I love most music. ... I'm not crazy about bluegrass... I really enjoy the blues at this time... but I'm not attached to any genre.
I'm into Clapton, Etta James, Southern Rock, Miranda Lambert, Patsy Cline, Depeche Mode and the Cure, Adele and Justin Timberlake ...you get the idea

EQUIPMENT
Music stand....microphone and stand and cords...assorted percussion instruments including a tambourine.
I have a small PA... but I use that for small venues... Solo work or acoustic acts ... and don't see it as appropriate for use with a band.
