Hey Jazz fans!!! Looking for some serious people to start my group to jam ,do recordings, gigs, etc. I completed my first CD and I'm looking to start a group to work with me on the next one along with other major venues. I have contacts with rehearsing/recording studios, music video filming, I'm a producer,song writer/arranger as well as a musician. I have over 100 original songs in the making to produce. If you have a good ear, have a passion for the art,and want to have some fun playing music along with monetary compensation (when possible depending on each gig)then this may be the place for you. I gigged with various individuals:Ron Barreto, son of the late "Ray Barreto" who was a famous Latin Jazz conga player(his CD's are still availiable in stores). Mark Johnson, an acoustic guitar player. You can find his CD on "CD Baby". I'm currently affiliated with Dr. B Dexter Allgood who is my musical mentor. He was the Dean of Music at Virginia State University,the musical coordinator for the broadway show "Dream Girls", he appeared on "Good Morning America", and has toured around the world including Europe and Japan. At times, I sing in his group. I usually freelance but I really need to branch out and start my own thing. I'm a reasonable, easy going, easy to work with type of person but I'm serious when it comes to rehearsing and performing. If you have been on any gigs, you know what I mean.
