We are a guitarist/writer and drummer in our early 40s. We are looking to start a local original group with a simple warm sound that harkens back to the 60s. Ideally we would like to play a mixture of the following: infectious groove music with a sense of humour that works great live, some sweet melodic summertime instrumentals, and a few great songs.
We need a singer who projects a good feeling. We need a rhythm guitarist who is happy playing straightforward clean rhythm guitar and riffs etc through a tube amp and/or acoustically. We need a traditional rock and roll bass player who can play some walking lines and who also likes to play repetitious grooves.
If you sing and also play guitar or bass - that's even better!
We are committed because our experience has shown that one has to be in order to accomplish anything with music, however we also view this as a hobby.
No drugs/heavy drinking etc.
