Now Seeking
Vocalist - General, Acoustic Guitar, Background Singer, Mandolin, Fiddle, Dobro.
About
I'm a transplant from New York who has been seeking other players with similar music interests. As an acoustic guitarist/singer, I mostly accompany myself with finger picking and little, if any, flat picking. I have a good lead voice for most acoustic tunes, but also like to sing harmony and background vocals.
I have done some song writing, but I've thrown out more than I have kept so my songs, though few, are good (but then again, I'm biased). I currently lean more towards singer/songwriter material (contemporary folk, the "Austin" sound, etc.), but I also like do classic country. That said, any good song that can be played well acoustically is one that I'd like to do.
It'd be great to hear from anyone who shares my taste in music and would like to meet up and see if we make a good fit. Ultimately, I want to be part of a duo or trio that is genuinely interested in performing on a semi-regular basis in bookstores, small clubs & the like. I have a good deal of experience playing out, but only on a solo basis.
I've included one song that I do regularly just to give a flavor of what I play and what I sound like.
