ABOUT

I'm a classically trained brass musician (specializing in French Horn) and bassist - I can also sing! Above all else, I am a musician first and foremost, but the instrument I'm most skilled at is bass guitar. I am a progressive rock/metal bassist by choice, and an everything and anything bassist for gigs. While I have various influences (see below), I usually come straight back to progressive music.

Influences

What singer/bassist isn't a fan of Geddy Lee and Paul McCartney? My other influences (in no particular order) include Jaco Pastorius, John Myung, Stuart Hamm, Dave LaRue, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Marcus Miller, and quite a few more. I'm also highly influenced by the non-bass related works of classical musicians such as Mozart, Strauss (either one xP), Holst, and many of their contemporaries. I have other influences as well, but I don't fell like typing all of them out at this juncture.

EQUIPMENT

I have a basic bass rig for up to a medium-sized gig, and beyond that I can just go into a PA. I have a couple of basses at my disposal - currently a fretted four-string and a fretless four-string, but I intend on getting a six-string again in the near future.

I also have a French horn.

If you have any questions left answered about my gear situation, all you have to do is ask!
