ABOUT

I'm a lead guitarist from Asbury Park currently looking for serious musicians who want to write great hard rock and take over the world. I'm 23 and looking for other musicians (lead singer, bassist, drummer, and possibly a rhythm guitarist) withing my age range (18-26) that want nothing else in their life but to play music and dedicate everything to the band to carve a path in rock history. I've been in a few bands over the past years and have gotten a pretty decent following and opened for some well known bands in bigger venues and have a good amount of contacts for venues, studios, producers, photographers etc. I don't want to categorize what type of music I want to play because I like a lot of different kinds and I'm willing to play almost anything. I would just say I'm all about heavy, crunchy, hard hitting riffs and tasty licks and just want to play hard rock n roll. If it leans towards the heavy metal side that's ok, but no screaming/growling vocals, and if its not heavy and more like the Stones or Eagles that's fine too. Im just looking for three to four more like minded people with the burning passion to "make it big" and take over the world. The type of person who goes to concerts or watches their favorite bands live on be and just have that pit in their stomach that you know won't get filled unless you're up there having thousands of fans getting their rocks off to your music and cheering you on and will do whatever it takes to do it. I know you're out there, I just haven't met you yet. So if this sounds like its right up your alley and you want to make some kick ass music, contact me and lets see what happens.

You can call or text me at 908-666-2445 or email me at nickyreds666 ONLY CONTACT ME IF YOUR SERIOUS. Being serious and passionate and willing to drop everything on a dime to go out and tour doesn't mean I'm an asshole dictator type who takes the fun out of it and makes it seem like a job. Playing music is the most fun thing in the world to me and it should be to my other future band mates, if it's not fun than there's no point in doing it, but with that said it still takes serious hard work and dedication so that's what I need, other musicians who are willing to fu*k normal life and do whatever it takes to get out there.

Once again in case the email is messed up. I've been getting contacted saying that my email address isn't fully on the page. It's nickyreds666 g mail. com

Influences

Many, many, many influences. I listen to everything from Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Slim Harpo, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy to Clutch, Mastodon, Lamb of God, Metallica, Carcass, Wu Tang Clan, NWA, Municipal Waste, Cky, Rival Sons. I like tons of different types of music, to me if it sounds good and I dig it than I'll listen to it, I don't believe in guilty pleasures and being ashamed of liking a band/song/singer/group so I just like music, but I guess I would say I'm into hard/classic rock and heavy metal.

My bigtime influences when it comes to my all time favorite bands are: The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath ( I just got into Ozzy at a young age and knew his solo stuff before I knew Black Sabbath so his solo albums will always have special place in music for me) Motley Crue, Motorhead, Aersomith, ACDC, Guns N Roses, Mastodon, Clutch, and Slipknot

My biggest influences when it comes to my guitar playing/writing are: Tony Iommi, Keith Richards, and Dimebag Darrell when it comes to riffs. Slash, Angus Young, Billy Gibbons and David Gilmour when it comes to leads/guitar tone. Lemmy, Nikki Sixx, Slash, Joe Perry, and Keith Richards (and their respective bands) when it comes to image/what I picture in my mind when I hear rock star. I'm all about songwriting and having a partner with it like the greats (jagger/richards, mccartney/lennon, tyler/perry) and I also love it when the whole band contributes. I want my band to be like a gang and brothers and everyone have a say in the music.
