I'm kind of still a beginner drummer, I've been playing for about a month and a half. I practice 3 or more hours a days (not kidding). I love playing drums, it's one of the things that I feel like I have a purpose at. I'm very good at it, lately I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone and try playing music that I don't like (such as pop, rap, and country). If I do that I will have more motivation to play which is great. And I can tell you it has been working, I have been playing 5 hours a day instead of 3. I have never played a gig before, the closest thing that I have done that's like a gig is a band concert. I have done band concerts my entire school life and you know, you just sit and play. I feel like I'm ready for the next step as both a musician and a drummer, which is to join a band and play concerts. I have energy, I have the skill, bring it on.
