CONCEPT: 3-piece cover-band playing and “remaking” upbeat, dance-friendly and refreshing-but-not-obscure rock, soul-Motown & blues-rock in neighborhood bars throughout Central NJ.
SOUNDS LIKE: Tight, precise, and professional with a hard-rock punch, performed by entertainers who don’t look or feel like they’re phoning it in.
WHAT SETS US APART: Small equipment footprint (3-piece), competitive price-point (3-piece), and boundary-pushing renditions and remakes included amongst the “must play” popular bar songs.
LINE-UP: Bass-Player/Vocalist + Guitarist/Vocalist + Drummer/Vocalist + DAW synth/click on some songs. I’m the bass-player. Check me out here on bandmix under bass-manski. You can also find me under the Last Viewed By section of this page.
NEXT STEP: Team up with Guitarist who sings and buys into this concept. He or she selects songs to sing that fit the criteria, and so does the bassist. Guitarist and bassist work together on first set of 20 songs, and then... add drummer, begin second set of 20, and launch marketing plan.
GOAL: Rehearse & master 3 sets of 20 songs each. Market the band relentlessly. Gig once a week.

Influences
Upbeat, dance-friendly, and refreshing-but-not obscure. Well rehearsed and professionally delivered. Intended to surprise and engage the audience while highlighting the band-members' strengths. Infusion of your personal style into the songs, along with a power-tight rhythm section and three vocalists will put the "Otis" signature across a diverse song list.

LEAD-GUITARIST REQUIREMENTS and contact info:
• Willing to sing lead on up to 50% of songs (which you will select).
• Select songs that meet the criteria of upbeat, danceable, not obscure, and within the genres of ROCK (hard, classic, party, garage, blues, pop) and FUNK (Motown/Stax/Atlantic soul, R&B, funk-rock).
• Be comfortable with this concept and with playing as a 3-piece.
• Be comfortable with covering, not copying songs; and infusing your own creative style into arrangements and song remakes.
• Rehearse weekly in Branchburg NJ until we begin gigging.
• Gig at least twice a month, if not more often, throughout Som/Hun/Mid counties and vicinity.
• Participate in "acoustic" vocal rehearsals as needed; location flexible.
• Learn 6 songs (3 chosen by bass-player and 3 chosen by you which you’ll sing) to perform at initial meet-and-greet (aka audition).
• To be considered, please share photo and audio (or video) samples of your playing and singing.
