BAND DESCRIPTION:
The Pale Granger Band blends up-tempo rock, Blues and country, oftern where the songs are crossovers between those three genres. You can go to the band's web site at http://www.palegranger.com/ to get some of the same flavor for our repertoire as well as with the songs and videos uploaded here.

BAND OVERVIEW:
We are looking for our front person, ideally a seasoned vocalist who is also our lead guitarist. Otherwise, we are looking for a non-playing lead vocalist and a non-singing lead guitarist who might be able to do backup singing as well.

Our band members are all well-experienced, proficient in their performing and have been in the music world for many years. We get together to rehearse once a week at our rehearsing and recording studio, Linear Sound, http://www.linearsound.com, which is located in Fredericksburg,VA. We are planning on completing our 3 track demo CD by the middle of November 2010 and our first 8 track album by the middle of December 2010.

We have been in development and rehearsing since early September 2010. We practice separately during the week on a designated practice list for that week so we can come prepared to seriously and intensively rehearse together for three to four hours in the recording studio doing track recordings to accelerate our song and performance development.

We expect to be doing our first gigs by the end of November 2010, and gig once a week on average on Fridays and/or Saturdays. Most of our gigs will be in the Northern and Central Virgina region with the occassional opportunity in Washington, DC, Maryland, Western Virginia and Southern Virginia. We are also in the process of making applications to a variety of summer music festivals to be held next year.

Influences

We are planning on doing original songs down the road and as soon as practical. However, to get started, we are doing covers of the artists and bands that are our principal influences. In particular, we not only select these artists and bands, but we also use as references for our own versions specific performances. You will find some of these reference artists and their reference performances uploaded here.

Equipment List

Between our band members and our rehearsal/recording studio, we generally have what we need. Where we need new equipment or software, Bruce Gras, our band leader, purchases it for the band and/or the individual band members.
