Hi everybody my name is Matt.
I am currently a music composition major at Columbia College in Chicago and I am looking to join/start a band with serious aspirations of playing live shows, writing original music, rehearsing frequently, and becoming working musicians. I am a good leader when it comes to keeping people on track but I also know when to relax and let the music happen. I have been playing guitar for over 8 years now and I know theory. I also have recording experience (CuBase, Reason, ProTools, Garage Band)and production skills. I know how to use MIDI instruments as well. I am an untrained vocalist but I do sing in key. I am working very hard on becoming a good vocalist but as of right now I can hold my own.
As of my personality, I am a laid back individual, but give me something I feel passionate about and I will defend it very strongly. I am also a very hard working person who is always looking for a challenge and a way to improve my life as well as those around me.
