ABOUT
I'm a drummer with some professional experience. I'm looking for a good, WORKING cover band to perform with. I'm 41. I enjoy playing rock, pop/dance, and modern country music styles. I have professional equipment and if needed, I can provide Shure beta drum mics for my kit. I also have a lot of live performance experience playing with backing tracks and a click.
This is my philosophy on my role in the band. It's a lot easier for drummers to muck their way through a cover song than to actually learn their part correctly. Thats lame and lazy. I take pride in learning the part. If I can't, I'll be up front about it and let you know. Lets face it, there aren't many Colaiutas' or Bozzios' out there. If thats what you need, I'm not your guy. I have a flexible attitude and a good sense of humor. I also have a strong commitment to both practice and performance schedules. As a drummer, some of my stongest attributes would be accurate meter, accurate interpretation of the drum part, and playing musically with the band. Also, I'm a rather humbled type of person/drummer. I don't believe drums are the most important part of making music - "put the spot light on someone else."
I'm not the type of musician that is trying fill my schedule playing in 5 different bands, etc. I believe that is unfair to other band members. I like to meet new musicians in the area so if your band is playing out somewhere, drop me a line and I'll come out to see the gig.
I'm happy to do fill-in jobs, but would rather commit to a project.
