Drummer of 15 years is in search of an established modern/party rock cover band, preferably with agency affiliations and rooms. Currently in a band which plays max 3-4 times a month and I’m looking to do double (maybe more) then that, looking for something that gets me out live anywhere from 6-10 maybe even 12 times a month with practice once a week. Some gigs during the week is fine, I’m pretty flexible and make myself quite available for this kind of work.
I consider myself a quick learner with new material and already know a bunch of the “standards” to boot. I can also sing SOME backups but would not consider myself one of your main backup singers. I’m just looking for a band that likes to get out there as much as possible, rile up a crowd at a club or bar and have fun supplementing income (I have a day job and I have absolutely no intentions of quitting.)
I have solid gear, very reliable transportation, a hard work ethic and a love for fun. I am hoping I can land something with a good group of people who like to joke around but are serious about the task at hand, no egomaniacs and nobody that thinks they are out to revolutionize the local cover scene.
I am also available as a substitute if your cover band is stuck without a drummer and you’re trying to keep gigs-provided schedules permit-all I ask is at least one practice before a gig so I know who I’m playing with and get a shot with the group at playing some material beforehand.
