Identity:
Phat Strut music is 100% Funk. The gang delivers greasy and phat Funk music, nothing more and nothing less. If you have a clue of how it feels to have “a glide in your stride”, “a dip in your hip” and if you dig having “bounce to your ounce”, no matter how big or small you are, you are going to be immediately experiencing some serious funky stuff strutting as soon as you push “play”.

‘Cause Phat Strut has what you need.

The lineup of the gang features a lead singer, Swiss guitar player, bass player, organ player and a French drummer. All band members live and work in the French-speaking part of Switzerland (Lausanne, Rolle).

Over the last couple of decades, they have either created or been associated to professional acts, under their own name or within existing bands and performing artists such as:

Bertrand Gallaz No Wave Power Trio, Jean-Paul Bourelly, Soul Syndrom, Shannon Jackson, Made In Positive (MIP), Will Mc Rory Rodgers, Tiger, T-Bone, Fool Groove, Funky Rabbit…

They have performed live on well-recognized stages in Switzerland as well as abroad (USA, France, Great Britain, Austria), in music festivals, venues and concert halls such as:

Miles Davis Hall (Montreux Jazz 1993 - Bertrand Gallaz « No Wave » Power Trio), Montreux Jazz Festival / Off (2001, 2002, 2004 - MIP, Fool Groove), Cully Jazz/ Off (2002, 2003, 2004), Chat Noir (2002), Ned (2002), Festival de la Cité / scène du Lapin Vert (2002, 2003, 2004), Moods (Zurich), Arena de Genève (2007)…
