I consider myself an advanced beginner. I have been playing for about 2 or 3 years. I don't have what I consider great chops but I do understand general theory, some basic modal playing and I have acceptable rhythm. I am fairly good at listening and adapting (I am a big fan of improv music). I am looking to play music for fun, not as a career. I am mature (33 y/o), responsible, dedicated, reliable, completely sober and passionate about wanting to learn more about creating music and improving as a musician. I have decent gear and reliable transportation. No speed metal, country or religiously focused groups please.
