Semi-pro (day job!) keyboardist of both cover and original projects. Available for fill-ins or possible duo/acoustic situation.

A little about me:

*COVERS* (working)
Former 9-year keyboardist with Amethyst, a lively regularly-gigging 80s/90s band; 80s band Stereo 87; and a year with Old Bridge-based pop/rock band Pop Riot. Currently working with the fun dance/rock band Run For Cover.

*ORIGINALS* (recording)
My original band, Crosstalk Club, just released its first album. We're sort-of a rotating group of friends playing/recording my songs, and I'm looking for folks willing to put together a lineup for live shows. I'm also looking for some players who'd like to "trade" recording a new track or two in exchange for some help on theirs. Shoot me an email at "pianobanger" at hot mail with your info. *DUO (looking)*
I'm also looking to start an acoustic cover project semi-locally with a singer/guitarist. No playlist in mind just yet. Got an interesting idea? Message me, same "pianobanger" email as above.

*ON THE DEMOS*
I'm playing keyboards on the 2 Amethyst cover tracks; organ, synth trumpets, and synth bari sax on the Triple Play cover. The Crosstalk Club original is me on keys, some guitars, bass, some backup vocals, and my programmed drums.

Where do I start? For covers, I've played some 70s, 80s, 90s, current pop charts, Billy Joel tributes, Elton John tributes, Springsteen tributes, dance, some classic disco, classic rock.

I also write originals, which style-wise are similar to power-pop by Butch Walker, Cheap Trick, Matthew Sweet, Fountains of Wayne, Ben Folds, and OK Go. (If they wrote songs about paranormal dating, time travel, floating garbage, and schadenfreude.)

EQUIPMENT

Live setup includes Roland DS61 synth, Korg N5 synth, Alesis QS6.1 synth, Roland AX1 keytar (go 80s!), Crate 50w amp, Peavy 15w amp, Roland PM-100 monitor/amp, 2 Audio-Technica mics, Ultimate Support stands, Yamaha 4-channel mixer. For duos, I have a Yamaha i400 small self-contained PA and speaker stands.

Home recording setup includes Alesis io2, Tascam US122, Cubase LE5, Amplitube 3 amp sims, MXL 990 & 991 condenser mics, Sure SM7 condenser (loaner), M-Audio AudioBuddy pre-amp, various DI boxes.
