I'm a multi-instrumentalist with drums and bass being my main instruments. I also, play piano/keys and rhythm guitar. I've been a recording engineer for 30 years. I've played R&B/Soul, Gospel, Fusion, Jazz, Rock, Country and in theater orchestras. I started my first band in 1968 playing all the funk and r&b of the time(actually, the term Funk hadn't been applied yet). I've played in high school and college concert and marching bands, musical theater orchestras. I've composed and produced radio & tv jingles and themes.
Some of the artists I've worked with over the years are Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Walter Hawkins & Family, Dave Brubeck & Sons, James Brown, Elliot Fisk and George Broderick. I'm currently employed at National Public Radio as a recording tech. I have a home studio which was featured in the Washington Post. I'm interested in playing the popular music of the present as well as some of the past classics while adding in original compositions.
I've posted some of my demos. I arranged, played on and recorded all the songs. The leads are performed by various colleagues. Cabo 1 and 2 are recordings I engineered for a PBS music tv series in the 80's called All-American Jazz. These recordings are of Cabo Frio.
