i'm a bassist with lots of stage experience and drive seeking a band in any or all of the following genres:

- classic funk (like james brown)<br>
- rockin' new orleans funk (dr. john, the awesome meters, funky blues messiahs)<br>
- jazzy new orleans funk (the incomparable stanton moore, charlie hunter)<br>
- motown or stax(what bassist doesn't dig jamerson or dunn???)<br>
- funky blues (but easy on the blues, too many i-iv-v isn't good)<br>

i'm also influenced by jazz, punk, and straight rock.

original, cover, or any mixture is cool, so long as the players are right. i have a professional, positive, laid back attitude and you should have the same. looking for bands with players with experience and optimally, in a near-gigging situation (if not already gigging). i'm prepared to commit to one practice per week or weekend, plus more if a gig is imminent.
