I play drumset with an infectious enthusiasm for the beat. I have over twenty years of playing experience, live and in the studio (mostly live). In various bands I have shared the stage with acts as diverse as Firefall, Marty Balin, Norton Buffalo, Pato Banton, Chambers Bros, David Lindley, Eric Burdon, Hank Ballard, Jack Casady (w/ SVT), among others. Served as backup for Lydia Pense of Cold Blood and played with ex-members of The Outlaws and Tommy Tutone.
I have professional experience in all popular music styles both live and in the studio. I can drive a band with a solid tempo and enjoy playing with intensity and sensitivity to dynamics. I play with authority and confidence, and I play for the song. I lead w/ left or right, play hi hat w/ either and I am familiar w/ odd time signatures and drum chart reading. I am also no stranger to the click. I have good listening skills and I teach drums as well. I am a quick learner and easy to work with, and I can take constructive feedback well, that is I don't take it personally. I have my own musical ideas but not attached to them if they are not used. I know basic music theroy, and I am a team player.
I can send a resume w/ a CD upon contact if you wish.
I also have experience singing lead and back up harmony.
