I mostly think of myself as a bass player, but I generally play whatever is called for. Recent experiences have taught me that I'm not all that interested in playing cover tunes anymore. If you're not drawn to making original music in some fashion, are you really a musician? Isn't that what we do? That's not saying that cover tunes can't be done. Hell, I like playing the old standards. But aren't you aiming low if you never want to go for something more?
I'm currently playing bass and singing in two bands; Systematic Chaos out of Tampa, FL (systematicchaos.us) and The Just In Time Band out of Largo, FL. But I'm always looking for people to jam with. Hit me up if you want to make some noise.
Give my song, "This Old Dawg", a spin and tell me what you think. I played all of the instruments on it, so there's my proof that I play whatever I need to. At this point I'd like to just meet other musicians and maybe jam a bit and knock a few heads (musically speaking). Music is a conversation, and it's about discovery. I hope I never lose that thirst for adventure.
