I am a female singer/songwriter looking to join a band. I was recently in a rock band called Brink for about 7 months and we played 10 shows together, but I am looking for something a little more serious. I want to meet other like-minded musicians who are as dedicated and motivated as I am and want to not only have fun with this, but also have the common goal to make a little money at it and take it as far as it goes. I know the chances at making it are few and far between, but I'd like to have a band that can at least play enough shows and make enough money to make it worth while and possibly make this a full-time job. I have the experience fronting a band. I also have the image, the looks, the stage presence, and the voice. I would like to do mostly originals, but I would be willing to do some covers too, if done innovatively. I know 20+ covers and have a few originals as well. I am a fast learner and like to put my own spin on things. I sing mostly clean vocals, but I can scream a little (no death metal screaming or growling, however, but I'd be willing to learn). I can do male intended songs as well as female. The covers I do include Tool, Alice in Chains, Staind, System of a Down, Alanis Morrisette, Garbage, The Cranberries, A Perfect Circle, Linkin Park, Evanescence, NIN and the list goes on and on.
