I've been playing on and off since I was 9. Never taken lessons. Most people I've played with have said I have an awesome meter. Played a lot of blues, hard rock, like Sabbath/Zepplin, 60's/70's stuff, and some heavy metal and grunge. I'm not a technical drummer like Neil Peart, but am a pretty good groove drummer and can play spontaniously if there's any kind of groove going.

I'm really looking to play with others and get something going again, and a good singer is pretty important to me. The last band I played with was The Blind Willies, we were a pretty well known blues band in Bellingham, and played here, in Seattle, and Portland, and various other places a couple times a week.

I'm interested in something harder sounding, maybe grungy, some metal influence, but not speed metal or thrash punk. Not to rule anything out though, I'd also be into blues, or classics, if it sounds good. I'm kinda open at this point, I'd just like to play some gigs and have some fun, maybe record and see what happens.

I'm older but pretty hip to different kinds of music, I listen to most kinds except rap and country, so don't totally count me out because of age, I can still play. :D

Currently have Rammstein as my youtube vid because I really like that drummer, he plays like I like to play, i also think they're an awesome act live, even though I don't speak teh german.

Influences:

Wow, the list would be long, so I'll just list some in no particular order:

Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, NIN, Pink Floyd, Heart, Foreigner, The Cars, Boston, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, B-52's, Soundgarden, Metallica, MegaDeath, Iron Maiden, Bad Company, Coldplay, Rush, Missing Persons, White Zombie, Linkin Park, Rammstein, and so many more I can't think of right now.

Basically I grew up jamming to most of these drummers when I'd practice with headphones and/or by myself.

Equipment List:

Tama Starclassic with Birch Bubinga Shells, 14" Zildjian "New Beat" highhats, 3 18" Zildjian crashes, 24" Ziljian Ride. DW Pedals

The kit pictured is the same kit as mine.
