EXPERIENCED DRUMMER / VOCALS:
Years of experience in the New York City area and Los Angeles as a casual drummer/vocalist, in clubs and in the studio for some of the top casual offices and contractors in both cities.

I can play "anything" including soul, funk, pop, jazz, big band, swing, ethnic, salsa, rock, etc.
My time is excellent and I would consider myself a "pocket" drummer and also a singer's drummer. I'm not very flashy but I lay down a strong line, try to anticipate what is coming next, and I play with good taste.
Also, I understand music, know keys and, regarding new material, I'm a very fast learner.
I'm easy to work with and have no hang ups.

Experience includes bands of all kinds and sizes, both as a sideman and as a leader, from jazz combos, to big band, full Soul / R&B bands, Rock & Roll revival shows, Salsa and straight on blues combos, to name a few.

I play drums, congas, bongos and timbales - and - I am comfortable in a black suit, tuxedo,jeans and t-shirt, and everything in between. I'm animated on the stand and ready to work.

If you're looking for a drummer for a new project, to replace a player who might have left, or just someone to fill in, I'm OK with any option. I just love to make music and have no objection to rehearsals.

I'd prefer not to be asked to play note-for-note hard rock covers. I respect this type of musicianship and appreciate the effort that goes into copying some of the best licks in music.
It's just that sometimes I feel the need to be able to "move around" the drum parts if I feel I can add something and not just play exactly what someone else has created for a particular piece of music.
Also, I do not play Metal.
