Everything I have ever heard,
but ROCK in a word! IE Entwhistle, Squire, Casady, JPJ, Bruce, Woody, Lesh, Pastorius, Brooks, Ludwig VB, Mingus, Wyman, Danko, McCartney, Claypool, anyone who played with Zappa or Dylan, others! I can't name them all without poring thru all my albums and cds and thereby making a mess.
Like Dead, Flaming Lips, Mule, Procol Harum, Metallica, Airplane, Who, Pearl Jam, Neil young, Traffic, Uncle BobbyD.,
Crimson, Yes, Bowie, etc., but no hardcore disco.
They have all influenced me in some way, but mostly I play like me. And the best original mix will come from combining OUR playing with our diverse influences without copying anyone to come off with an original and exciting sound.
