My stuff is closest to progressive, I suppose (MANY time signatures), but isn't pretentious or devoted solely to technique. I go for guts.

Influences:

Persian goatherders' music, African guitar and strings (King Sunny Ade, Malian music), early to mid-1970s Prog Rock, Classical, early Metal music (1983-4 Iron Maiden, old Metallica), Jaco Pastorius, JEFF BECK.

# 1 influence is the sounds within my head.

Equipment List:

Presently a 1976 Fender Starcaster and a 1968 Harmony 535 Amp with matched set of vintage blackplate RCA 6L6 and 12ax7 tubes.

Smooth sound but I'm about to sell it all and go with old Japanese Strat / Tube King TK999 through Fender Blackface Bassman. THAT is what I dig.
