I play Bass, Guitar, and Keyboards and I know my way around drum machines...
The song "Gas" on the music player is a quickly tossed together thing that I played everything on (guitar, bass, keys, drum machine programming). It's not a great piece or anything, but I figure it's enough to show my technical ability as of 5 years back....

I've been playing for 19 years on all the above instruments. I've done bands, recording projects, the club circuit, the festival circuit, etc.

I'd be interested in getting in on something this summer maybe. I like "weird" music so I don't even know if there's people around this area into any of this kind of stuff, so I'm interested to see if there's anybody in similar musical minds...

I still feel like I have musical growth to do, and want to explore new things musically.

Off the bat, I want to say I'm not into blues rock. I'm not interested in backing up a Stevie Ray Vaughan wanna be who plays 10 minute solos and makes crazy faces while he does it in a dank bar.

That being said, I am open to doing studio work, even on something I'm not that stoked on playing. I'm just not interested in committing to a long-term project/band that I'm not feeling...

Influences:

My main influences are the 3 F's:
Fishbone
Funkadelic
Frank Zappa

I like funk, jazz, hip-hop, hardcore, reggae, ska...

Other influences:
Bad Brains, Sonny Sharrock, Pharoah Sanders, Albert Ayler, Sun Ra, Jean Paul Bourelly, Kool Keith, Dan the Automater, Weapon of Choice, Living Colour, Jim Pepper, Boosty Collins, Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Melvin Gibbs, Los Lobos, the Pharcyde, 24-7 Spyz, Doug Wimbish, the Roots, etc. I'm also influenced by traditional/contemporary Native American music. I love powwow groups like Black Lodge Singers, Meskwakie Nation, Siksika Ramblers, etc.

I'm finding myself more and more drawn into free jazz and free form experimental funk.

I've been playing music a long time, and really am not interested in playing music that I'm not going to find stimulating. I have eccentric tastes and am a relatively wacky guy, so if you're on that wavelength it would help...

Equipment List:

My bass, my guitar, my keys, my fingers and my callouses....
