I'm a music and audio engineering major who loves to make music. I hate most things on the radio. I've been doing some solo stuff for the little amount of time I've played (keyboard is my highest level of skill). I've got a pretty crap schedule, but a few gigs and practices at first to get things going would be sweet.
Influences:
Life is a big influence. Music is real, not to be used for the commercial machine.
Band wise, some of my favorites are
Swingin' Utters, Winds, The Clash (and Joe Strummer), Tim Armstrong and Rancid, dead kennedys, some others too.
Equipment List:
I don't have a whole lot, I'm a college student who works at a non-corporate restaurant as a cook.
-Midi keyboard with touch sensitivity (my computer is my synth through VST, DirectX audio, and other plugins...which I have a lot of as well as recording software).
-Ibanez Iceman (the cheap one)
-A decent microphone and stand.
-Korg ToneWorks AX1500G pedal board.
-Yamaha acoustic of some form
