Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rafe Samonte has been playing and performing as a guitarist since 1984. Rafe brings decades of experience as a lead guitar player, writer, and vocalist in original projects ranging from metal, punk, hard rock, and christian contemporary. His performing career began during the 80’s SF Bay Area thrash metal scene and he has performed throughout Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. His live performance style includes exciting crowd interaction and showmanship; while his guitar prowess includes aggressive, heavy riffs infused with soulful melodic lead lines and soaring guitar solos. While performing with local supporting acts, he has provided opening live support to numerous, popular, national touring acts; sharing the metal stage with the likes of Dragonlord, Obituary, Napalm Death, Three Inches of Blood, Kreator, Nevermore, Sadus, Quiet Riot, Vicious Rumors and more. Rafe continues to develop his own material and performance of Rock and Metal. Rock on!
